For the past 5 years there has been an end of year Billy Bragg trivia quiz. The first three year's quizzes were run by Pete Crook and Braggtopia! has hosted the quiz for the past two years. For a change in 2002 I decided to give the quiz a rest for at least a year and instead present the first ever "Billy Bragg Song Contest" !!

The idea of the contest was for entrants to write the ultimate Billy Bragg song lyric. To do this you had to pick an original Billy Bragg song and completely rewrite the lyrics in such a way that it became the ultimate Bragg song.

Entries were received from all over the world including USA, Canada, Australia, UK and Croatia ! The winning entry is a great twist on a Bragg classic and the winner is :
