"I was asked to write a song for a movie called "Mad Love"...which was made by Disney and it starred Drew Barrymore of all people...and a woman called Antonia Bird directed it. She asked me to write a song for the end of the movie. And I wrote this song and we were going to demo it and because the main character was Drew Barrymore I thought it would be better if it was a female voice, so we got Kirsty (MacColl) to sing the demo. And she sang it so well and so beautifully that they eventually took her to Hollywood and recorded the song for the end of the movie".
